It was December 24th and Joshua was walking along a busy highway.
Just in from of him there was a young woman, carrying her child on her back.
A trailer was coming towards them in the opposite lane and a car tried to overtake it in a reckless manner.
In a fraction of a second Joshua saw that the car would hit the mother and the child, and, with no second thought, he ran and pushed the woman with her child aside, but could not avoid the direct impact of the speeding vehicle.
The impact was terrible and Joshua was thrown very far on the tarmac.
Both trailer and car did not even stop at the accident scene.
Joshua had open, multiple fractures of the 4 limbs.
It has been a long journey together, because we had to put him on external fixators for long time, to allow the soft issues to heal.
We have been together for the last 3 months: slowly muscles and skin healed, external fixators were removed and finally we were able to do internal fixation of all the fractures.
It is really a success story for a good and selfless man.
