Today we have greeted Dr Kyle Dickson, who goes back home to the USAafter few, intensive days in Matiri.
He has helped me in numerous, very difficult orthopedic operations.
He has really trained me on the elbow fractures, and now I feel a bit more competent and comfortable.
Kyle is a very gentle, humble and easy going surgeon, and it has been a pleasure for me and the whole theater staff to work with him.
We wish him and his son Raas a safe flight back home and we really hope to have them again in Matiri for a longer period: this first time was for them a kind of reconnoiter.
Dr Dickson has left us a generous donation on behalf of Sign: a lot of DHS plates and screws, a good number of external fixators, plates and orthopedic instruments.
We are very grateful to him and to Sign.
We are now waiting for another Sign Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr Justin Duke, who was supposed to be already in Matiri, but he is still in Nairobi due to lost luggage during the flight. We hope he will be here tomorrow, together with all his bags.
Actually a good number of difficult cases are already admitted for him.
We are onored to work with our American Mentors and Benefactors.
Bro Beppe
